Those selected to participate in the University System of Georgia (USG) Comprehensive Administrative Review (CAR) Activity Assessment have until Tuesday, Jan. 30, to turn in their submissions.

Approximately 3,500 staff employees at Tech are being asked to participate in the Activity Assessment so the USG can better understand how resources are allocated to perform various administrative functions. Those who are required to complete the assessment will continue to receive reminder emails. The assessment closes at midnight on Jan. 30.

Participation in the assessment is mandatory for the selected individuals and should take, on average, 30 minutes to complete. In addition, supervisors and managers will be asked to review and validate the assessment submissions between Feb. 5 and Feb. 13.

“Georgia Tech employees are investing much of their time and energy in the CAR process, and their contributions are greatly appreciated,” said Sonia Alvarez-Robinson, executive director of Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting, the unit that has been interfacing with USG project leaders and consultants on behalf of Georgia Tech. “It has been a collaborative effort in every sense — especially in helping to ensure the survey and assessment better reflect the work we do at Tech.”

Huron Consulting, the USG’s partner for this research, will prepare a draft report for Georgia Tech’s leadership and the USG later this spring. It will include key findings and recommendations. A final report will be generated once all 28 institutions have completed this process in 2019.

Visit the USG CAR website for more information on the systemwide project.
