The Campus Services Employee of the Month for October is Cheryl Brown Foster
A Campus Services Employee of the Month must be extraordinary in customer service, teamwork, punctuality and attendance and must have demonstrated outstanding performance with above and beyond results. October’s Employee of the Month – Cheryl Brown Foster – certainly falls within those criteria.
Foster has been a maintenance worker in Georgia Tech’s North Avenue Apartments since renovations began on them in 2007. During that time, she has proven on numerous occasions that she is a dedicated and hardworking employee who is willing to go beyond her duties to make sure the student residents are happy with their Housing selection.
One unique characteristic about Foster as an employee is that she does not restrict herself to only performing maintenance duties.
“Don’t be surprised when one minute you see her with tools, the next with custodial products, or, at times, both,” read a comment from the Employee of the Month nomination.
Foster’s efficient and diligent work efforts have helped decrease work demand from her and her team and, at the same time, helped keep student residents happy and satisfied.
“She is a person who will do whatever has to be done, to make sure our students are taken care of,” said Rosalind R. Meyers, Vice President of Campus Services.
Cheryl Brown Foster is a role model employee who places the welfare of her team and of the students residing in her halls ahead of herself. She is timely and is always willing to go a step beyond what is required of her, whether that’s showing up after hours for emergency maintenance or assisting with custodial duties to help keep a clean living and working environment.
Foster is an outstanding worker and is well deserving of October’s Employee of the Month award.
Congratulations, Cheryl, and sincere thanks for all your hard work!
